New Japan started its 29th annual G1 tournament for the first time ever in the U.S.
The show in Dallas, Texas featured the first set of A block matches in this year’s G1, which took place on July 6, 2019 at the American Airlines Center. This is the first time in the promotion’s history that New Japan Pro Wrestling has done a card of the G1 tournament outside of Japan. It’s also the first time that the company has run a show in Dallas.
